On top of every minimum payment. This is not your whole debt budget — that is the minimums plus this amount.

Count these payments in “Available until payday”This month's planned payments are subtracted once. Debts marked “already in my bills” are skipped.

Focus first

Smallest balance first — quick wins keep you going. This is not always the lowest-interest order.

How this is calculated
  • One payment is made on each debt every month, at the end of the month.
  • Interest for the month is added first: the yearly rate divided by 12, applied to the balance at the start of the month and rounded half up to the nearest cent or penny.
  • There are no fees, minimum payments never change, and interest is not compounded within a month.
  • The monthly budget is every minimum payment plus the extra amount, and it stays the same for the whole plan. When a debt is paid off, its minimum rolls into the next debt.
  • Debts are paid off smallest starting balance first, whatever their interest rate.
  • Mortgages and debts marked as not in the plan are left out.
  • Your lender's figures will differ: real due dates, daily interest and fees are not modelled.
  • This is a simulation. It never changes your real balances or records payments; use Bills or Spending for that.
